Pure Essential oil
Orange Sweet

Botanical Name: Citrus sinensis

Method of Extraction: Cold Pressed

Orange is derived from cold pressed expression of the peel of the fruit to produce an oil that is golden yellow in color. Some of its active constituents are limonene, bergaptene, citral, citronellal and myrcene. Some of its countries of origin are USA, Brazil, France and Spain.

Orange is an antidepressant, antispasmodic, stomachic (has a normalizing effect on the peristaltic action of the intestines) and is mildly sedative in its nature. It is a "happy" oil that makes the atmosphere in which it is released feel warmer and friendlier. Some people say it carries with it the sunshine that ripens it! It is an excellent oil to use in the winter months as it helps to lift the winter "blahs" so well. This oil can be used as an addition to your bath, but no more than 3 drops as it may cause skin irritation. Orange essential oil may also be combined with lavender or neroli to help with insomnia. It is also a lymphatic stimulant, helping to rid the body of toxins and fluids (water retention). The bitter orange variety may also help with water retention as it works with the body's lymphatic drainage system. This oil blends well with cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, lavender as well as all of the citrus oils. Can be phototoxic. Do not apply to the skin before going out in the sun.

Makes an excellent cleaning and wood polishing solution also. Add 1 tablespoon to your laundry to get out those nasty dye stains!

Safety Precautions: As with most other expressed citrus oils, lime oil is phototoxic. Avoid applying to the skin shortly before going out into the sun or into a sunbed as it may cause irritation. Lemon oil has a short shelf life and should be used within 6 months of purchase. Use in low concentrations.
